Data and deletion
Use Data and deletion settings to export account data or delete an account.
Export account data
An export is a file that contains a copy of your account data. JSON is the text format of this file.
- Confirm your sign-in.
- Select Download account data.
- Save the downloaded
nerudo-account.jsonfile in a safe location.
The file contains your profile, connected provider names, public signing keys, and credential metadata. It also contains session metadata and recent security activity. It does not contain private keys, provider tokens, developer credential values, or other accounts' data.
Before account deletion
Account deletion stops your sign-in access and removes personal account information. It also stops sessions, passkeys, developer credentials, and earlier account credentials. Private credential cleanup can retry after a service interruption. Access stays disabled during that cleanup.
Shared Git history, signed receipts, and copies held by other people remain. Your username stays reserved so another person cannot use your old account name. Deletion does not delete your accounts at Google, Apple, GitHub, or Cloudflare.
Nerudo prevents deletion while repository ownership or organization roles require action. The settings page lists the necessary actions. If Nerudo cannot examine these conditions, it prevents deletion.
Delete an account
This operation cannot be undone.
- Complete each action in Before you can delete this account.
- Confirm your sign-in.
- Enter your username in the confirmation field.
- Select Delete my account.
- Examine the final confirmation prompt.
- Confirm only if you want to delete the account permanently.
After deletion, Nerudo returns to the sign-in page with a deletion message.
